MANCHESTER UNITED are eyeing a shock move for Red Bull Salzburg boss Marco Rose as they look for a permanent successor to Jose Mourinho, according to reports.

claim he is being considered along with Zinedine Zidane, Laurent Blanc and current caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
It is said that Tottenham’s Mauricio Pochettino remains their first choice but that United have drawn up a list of alternatives in case they cannot lure him to Old Trafford.
Rose, 42, is considered to be one of the most promising young managers in Europe, having led Salzburg to the Austrian title in his first season in charge.
He also guided them to the semi-finals of the Europa League last season where they were beaten by Marseille.
Rose has won a whopping 64 of his 91 matches in charge of the Austrian champions for an impressive win rate of 70 per cent.
And United are said to be keeping an eye on him as they conduct a thorough search for Mourinho's replacement.
Solskjaer has impressed during his short spell by winning all of his three games in charge, with United scoring 12 goals in the process.
