Scores burnt to death as tanker explodes in Lagos

Several people have been reportedly killed after a fuel tanker caught fire on Odo-Iyaalaro Bridge inward Maryland in Lagos.
According to The Guardian, the accident has caused major gridlock around the axis, while the cause of the conflagration and number of casualties couldn’t be ascertained.
It was also gathered that the situation has paralyzed movements around Tipper garage, Ojota-Interchange and Motorways plaza.

Details of ASUU meeting with FG emerge

The meeting between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) ended without any conclusion on Tuesday. NAN reports that Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, ASUU National President, while speaking with newsmen at the end of the closed door meeting in Abuja, noted that negotiations were still ongoing. He said both parties were yet to reach a concrete decision. “For now, we have started to discuss. We are yet to reach any concrete decision. Once we have more information, we will make ourselves available to the press. “The union will reconvene very soon to continue negotiations,” he said.

Hazard exit odds slashed

Eden Hazard is now odds-on with bookmakers to move to Real Madrid in the summer after Chelsea announced the signing Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.
