Transfer news: Fabregas to Monaco

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is reportedly close to agreeing a deal to join Ligue 1 side Monaco.
The 31-year-old is entering the final six months of his deal with the Blues and is looking to leave the club in order to find regular first team football.
The two played alongside each other at Arsenal between 2003 and 2007, while both left the Emirates for Barcelona – though did not line up together at Camp Nou.
According to French publication L'Equipe, the World Cup winner will sign on the dotted line for Monaco in the coming days.
Henry has convinced Fabregas of his project at Monaco and the Spaniard is said to be “very excited” about joining him in France.
