Why i dumped Marvin Records__Reekado banks

After five years with Mavin Records, Afro pop singer, Reekado Banks, has finally left the record label, saying he left to explore new opportunities.
Reekado, who clocked 25 years old on Thursday was full of emotions when he revealed that his time with the Mavin had come to and end even as he insisted that the label would remain a family to him for life.

Five years ago, Don Jazzy signed the trio of Reekado, Di’ja and Korede Bello to Mavin records swelling the number of the artistes on the label to eight.

Last year, Iyanya joined the group but left after a year when he it seemed his career was not making the progress he envisioned when he joined.

While no official response has been released by the label in the wake of Reekado’s departure, inside sources told R that Korede Bello may also be next to take a walk.

In his statement, Reekado said the last five years have been the most blissful years of his career. “The journey has been extremely wonderful and filled the best experiences. I have learnt that family is not just about blood ties but love, sacrifices and friendship that exist among its members.”

He added that Don Jazzy took him in and treated him like his own son. “I will be eternally grateful to him for sacrifices he made towards the growth of his career.”

He said he remained ecstatic about what the future holds and could not wait to share with everyone the new opportunities.
