Hazard exit odds slashed

Eden Hazard is now odds-on with bookmakers to move to Real Madrid in the summer after Chelsea announced the signing Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.
The announcement of Pulisic has led to bookies slashing the odds of Hazard leaving the club he joined in 2012.
Hazard has been cut from 6/4 to 4/7 for a move to Real Madrid by Paddy Power while Betfair price the Belgian at 1/4 to leave Chelsea in the summer.
Hazard is also 10/1 with Paddy Power to go in January.
A Paddy Power spokesperson said: “Chelsea’s Pulisic announcement gives Eden Hazard the perfect amount of time to go house-hunting in Madrid. And, while his odds of making the move in January have drifted, he’s odds-on to make the switch in summer.

167 police officers absconded after learning they would join soldiers to fight Boko Haram

Afraid of joining the military to combat the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists in the North-east, 167 Nigerian police, who were on training at the Nigerian Army Special Forces Training School in Buni Yadi, Yobe State, Wednesday abandoned their duties and fled with their respective riffles. Reports have it that the wanted officers absconded immediately they learnt that they would be deployed to locations where Boko Haram fighters are still active, especially communities along Nigeria’s border with Niger and Chad Republic. Recall that the Inspector general of Police, Ibrahim Idris, had promised additional 2000 police officers that would complement the efforts of the military against rampaging terrorists in the volatile North-east.
